Lauinger Library is the main university library for undergraduate and graduate students.
The Lauinger Library is located on Georgetown's Main Campus. The library houses materials in the humanities, social sciences and business, as well as U.S. federal government documents. The Booth Family Center for Special Collections, on the fifth floor of the library, includes rare books, manuscripts and prints. The Gelardin New Media Center and the Picchi Multimedia Room in Lauinger Library provide state of the art equipment, technology, software, and services for multimedia applications. The library was named for Joseph Mark Lauinger, a 1967 alumnus who died in Vietnam.
